HVAC/BR Certifications & Industry Alignment
Prepare for the credentials that matter most to HVAC/BR employers.
Miller-Motte College’s HVAC & Basic Refrigeration program is designed to prepare you for two industry-recognized credentials that employers in the HVAC/BR field look for in entry-level candidates.

EPA Section 608 Technician Certification

The EPA Section 608 certification is required by federal law for any technician who handles refrigerants. This program is designed to prepare you to sit for that exam, so you can enter the workforce ready to work on the systems that require it.
NCCER Credential Preparation

This program is also built around the core skills and standards that NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) credentialing evaluates.
This program prepares you to earn NCCER credentials while enrolled, giving employers a verifiable record of your skills and training as you progress through the program.
NCCER credentials are recognized by HVAC/BR and construction employers nationwide. Earning them during your training can help strengthen your qualifications as you prepare to enter the workforce.
*Certification and credential eligibility and testing requirements are controlled by the EPA, NCCER, and other third-party organizations and are subject to change. Miller-Motte College cannot guarantee that graduates will be eligible to take certification or credential examinations, regardless of their eligibility status upon enrollment.
